Kamry Steger is a passionate advocate, entrepreneur, and financial advisor who is dedicated to creating a more inclusive world. Her background includes working in financial services, where she aims to bridge gaps in financial literacy, especially in urban communities, while offering “all-inclusive financial services.” This mission is deeply connected to her life as a mother of two, with her youngest child having a disability. Her personal experience with her daughter inspired her to launch an organization that serves children with disabilities and focuses on inclusion for all.

 

The organization, H.I.P.S. (Hidden In plain Sight) of Michigan, was driven by her desire to address the lack of recognition and support for disabled youth. Through her experiences, including conducting a survey that revealed bullying and exclusion as significant challenges faced by these children, she recognized the importance of building spaces and systems that are accessible and welcoming to all abilities. The nonprofit is focused on constructing all-inclusive playgrounds and resource centers, providing holistic healing methods to reduce reliance on medication, and enhancing awareness around the importance of inclusivity. Her long-term goal is to transform playgrounds around the world to ensure they have adequate equipment to be barrier-free and inclusive to all children, no matter their abilities. She is also developing programs that help children with disabilities “find their superpowers” by connecting them to hobbies and interests that align with their strengths.

 

Ultimately, Kamry's vision is to empower young women, impact the special needs community, and serve God by advocating for a more inclusive world. The organization is not only about building physical spaces but also creating a bridge between technology, support systems, and holistic solutions for children of all abilities.
